The sky clearing above me.

February 15, 2008

What a relief, I finally received my work permit today. I can finally openly declare my decision to spend the next half a year in Berlin with an internship at LichtVision GmbH. Yes, I will finally have to master CAD drawing for real.

I’ve been sweating for a month on the paperwork for the German Arbeitsamt to be allowed to stay in the country and receive the small internship pay. I’m proud to be an Estonian but sometimes it just blows the mind how difficult it is to prove oneself worthy of being an European. I’ve been packed and ready to fly for several weeks now and it hasn’t been easy sitting on these hot rocks.

It’s going to be Berlin until September and then Prague from there on. I’m glad to take courses at DAMU studying alternative and puppet theatre stage design for a year.
You’re all welcome to the departure party tomorrow in Tallinn, the city I shall always return to.
